An exciting opportunity has arisen with a reputable finance business for a Policy Writer to join their team in Chester on a 12-month contract. Liaising with a vibrant, friendly team, you will be responsible for researching and compiling a brand-new Operational Procedure Manual for the business.

Established over 10 years ago, the business are experts in their field and have won multiple awards, including Responsible Lender of the Year. They are passionate about customer service and have built a working culture that is built on trust, support and team work.

The Policy Writer will cover a range of duties including:

  • Studying company policy, operational procedures and standards to create a set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all areas of the business
  • Liaising with staff and operational managers to fully understand their methods of working and turning this information into written procedural guidelines
  • Auditing processes and policies, providing alternative methods of working that may offer improvements
  • Creating and maintaining an online resource for operational policies, ensuring this is up to date and reflective of the company's procedures and standards
  • Undertaking full walk through testing of SOPs to ensure they are accurate and complete prior to publishing

Policy Writer Profile:

  • We are very interested in seeing individuals with experience as an Operations Manager, Internal Auditor or Policy Manager
  • The ideal candidate with have a minimum of 2 years' experience in writing procedure documents
  • You will also be comfortable working with autonomy in a self-driven role
  • Great interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at a variety of levels are also essential for this position
