Our client is a leading provider within the renewable heat sector. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Regional Manager to ensure safe working practices and a safe working environment are commonplace within their area of responsibility.
Responsible for the ongoing supervision, development and training of team members.
To undertake appraisals and to ensure team members have sufficient knowledge to be able to operate independently on a day to day basis.
Ensure dangerous occurrences and accidents at work are investigated thoroughly and recommend remedial measures to prevent recurrence where necessary.
Driving culture change for Quality across the workforce.
To supervise a team of Operatives and Admin Staff.
To work closely with our business partner, to ensure that their Wood Pellet is received into Store and handled to strict EN+ Standards through to Despatch onto Road Vehicles.
Be the onsite contact for the Port Owners.
Liaise with the Stock Control manager at Head Office
QUALIFICATIONS
At least GCSE (O'Level) standard including minimum grade C in Mathematics & English Language
A recognised Health and Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH)
LGV Class C would be desirable.
A current UK Driving Licence.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Demonstrable Supervisory experience
Experience of operating Loading Shovel, Telehandler, small FLT
Computer literate with experience of MS Outlook and skilled in Excel.
Demonstrable experience in assessing risks and formulating safe systems of work.
Excellent written & verbal skills
Good organisational skills.
EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years in a similar position
Candidates with experience and ready to move into a supervisor role would be considered
