I am recruiting for an MRO Technician to join a large aerospace company in Gloucestershire.

You will be responsible for the repair/overhaul and test, of hydraulic electrical and mechanical components and parts. Working to a CMM, work instructions are followed in accordance with strict Aviation standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Fault find, investigate and identify reason for unit failures, in line with the relevant CMM
  • Detailed inspection of parts and components, following strict guidelines
  • Build and test of hydraulic electrical and mechanical parts and components
  • Ensure traceability is maintained throughout preparation, strip build and test processes
  • Supporting Engineering/Quality in all repair aspects
  • Strong attention to detail required throughout processes carried out
  • Company procedures to be followed and records maintained to ensure full traceability of components and activities
  • Complete all repair related documentation in a timely manner
  • To follow strict health and safety guidelines, including the wearing of all specified PPE
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area for self and others
  • Completion of any work-related tasks, which would be deemed reasonable of this role.
  • All employees shall comply with EH&S Policy, report unsafe practices or conditions to supervision for prompt resolution, attend scheduled EH&S training programs, actively support the meeting of EH&S targets and plans, and recommend improved EH&S practices wherever possible.

Job Requirements, Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability and experience of working on hydraulic electrical or mechanical components and parts, with experience of aerospace documentation
  • Electrical experience is an advantage
  • Experience of working to CMMs is an advantage
  • Experience of working to close tolerances and time limits
  • Strong and demonstrable attention to detail in the build and testing of hydraulic electrical and mechanical components and parts
  • Ability to follow written instructions, in accordance with required Aviation standards, in the creation and testing of components
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills
  • experience of working in an Aviation Environment is desired
  • PC Experience is essential
  • Ability to work well as part of a team is essential
  • Willingness and ability to travel to such places (whether in or outside the United Kingdom) by such means and on such occasions as the Company may require, from time to time.
