Our long standing client in Scunthorpe is currently expanding the Engineering department and has vacancies for experienced and dedicated Mechanical. Working a 3-shift rota as part of a team, you will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of the two rolling mills and associated equipment and report to the senior technicians and Engineers. Should be time served and qualified to ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering. Experience of maintenance within a steel Rolling Mill environment or other medium to heavy sectors would be an advantage and ideally should have at least 5 - 10 years post Apprenticeship experience. It is important that you are a strong team player, a good communicator at all levels, IT literate and capable of working with production, electrical, mechanical and management staff. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join the developing engineering department
MECHANICAL FITTER
Must have experience of reactive breakdown maintenance and will require strong problem solving skills. Your technical experience will include excellent fitting abilities, with good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, maintenance welding & machining. Should be confident to read and utilise Engineering drawings to assist with component assembly and fault finding techniques on all equipment. You will be expected to work on a broad range of equipment across the site, such as pressure systems, process water systems, overhead cranes, furnaces, automated stacking machines and various mechanical drives.
