As a team, we maximise resource sharing and enable the delivery of the firm to our clients through line of service and cross line of service staffing, forecasting, utilisation, and workload balance while considering development and diversity initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesThis is an exciting time for Resource Management as we build on the professionalism of our people and work closely with the business to develop and implement PwC business and people strategy. PwC's Resource Management (RM) team assist the firm in being more agile and providing the right people on the right projects at the right time.
Ensure that business needs are delivered in an efficient manner at all times by optimising the allocation of work and deployment of staff to maximise profitability in conjunction with personal development plans and individuals' wellbeing
Portfolio management - conducting regular reviews to ensure maximum utilisation and development for each individual.
Demonstrate good knowledge of the Business and be proactive in relation to the supply and demand challenges of the Business i.e. busy periods, recurring business, etc
Produce accurate and commercially focussed Management Information (MI) for your BU/RM Function identifying trends/ key risks, etc
Be prepared to challenge the BU protocols if impacting resourcing i.e. completion of timesheets, accuracy of codes, etc
Support the Business in delivering its manpower and resourcing plan by having a deep understanding of the BU growth plans and headcount required to support these.
Engage with key stakeholders within your BU area (if applicable) to understand their priorities
Work with the team to ensure clients' needs are delivered in an efficient manner at all times. Optimise headcount, manage/oversee joiners, leavers and secondments, support the team in increasing utilisation whilst being aware of the impact on employee engagement.
Work with the regional x-LoS resourcing team to make sure best practices are applied and optimisation of the tools and techniques are used
Support the Senior Resource Manager/ Team Leader with recruitment interviews and inducting new staff
Work in close partnership with other key functions i.e. Finance/ HC/ Business Development, etc
Proactively advise and guide People Managers as regards to their role and responsibilities in RM processes to enable a good quality interaction with their staff.
Engage and promote the use of key resourcing systems including Talentlink, S&D, Finder, and the Resource Tracker to enable effective resourcing.
Be prepared to engage in RM projects aligned to the resourcing vision.
Share knowledge / best practise and network with your BU colleagues and your colleagues across the RM Function.
Demonstrate knowledge of the firm's risk management policies and procedures.
Preferably from an RM background, or interested in resource management
Proven ability to build strong working relationships with both senior and junior staff over different locations
Relationship skills including communicating, influencing and stakeholder management
Professional, confident and open minded individual who demonstrates PwC Professional behaviours at all times
Commercially and risk minded with good operational business acumen
Trusted advisor who provides balanced, pragmatic advice around manpower planning and resource management
