As we grow our EW business focussing on UK and export opportunities we need to make a number of new hires. In line with our growth plans we are looking for an Electronic Warfare Project Design Authority. Working closely with our customers and internal stakeholders you will be responsible for solution creation in preparation for bids and solution compliance across all phases of the systems engineering life-cycle within a project including in service for EW products. As the PDA you will be part of a bid or project team within our Electronic Warfare and Radar Business. With the ability to translate and deconstruct customer requirements in relation to EW this is a key hire with us in which you will be working with leading edge products.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities
* The PDA guarantees that the technical solution is feasible, competitive and meets customer expectations, in terms of cost, innovation, performance, schedule, etc.
* Acts as the primary technical leader of the bid or project team. Acts as lead technical interface with the Customer (or PLM for a Product).
* Monitor, review, advise and assist with technical issues across the programme.

Experience and Skills
* Radar/Electronic Warfare systems engineering in the maritime/land/air environment.
* Radar/RESM/RECM performance modeling, design, development, integration and trials.
* Preparation of bids for domestic and export customers.
* Understanding of digital Radar / EW receiver technology and techniques.
* Experience across the engineering life cycle
* Ability to generate innovative solutions including system acceptance and system certification within a competitive environment
* Ability to understand and design complex systems
* Able to get our have SC clearance

In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
