Location base: Peterborough
Area Covered: London, Northampton, Peterborough predominately but also across UK.
Working environment: Commercial - factories, offices and schools
Hours: normal working day but with flexibility to work out of hours to fit in more difficult jobs
Salary: GBP28,000 - GBP32,000 per annum plus Overtime
The Company
Quanta Contracts is recruiting for a client in Peterborough for an Experienced Electrician to cover London, Northampton, Peterborough and across the UK.
The Job
The job will cover fault finding / reporting and ensuring that issues are resolved and that the relevant electrical reports are completed. On a day to day basis this role is customer facing and will involve liaising with commercial customers on site as well as over the phone and via email. It will need someone with the ability to set of jobs from drawings and specifications who can then purchase the relevant equipment to install. Working within a team there will also be the ability to mentor more junior members of the electrical team.
* Health and Safety
* Fault Finding/fault reporting
* Inspection and testing
* Complete Electrical condition reports.
* IMAC's (installs, moves & changes)
* Complete job sheets/surveys
* Working at height and enclosed spaces.
* Manage small projects
* Act as Technical Lead, providing technical support for engineers
* Work with testing equipment, e.g. fluke., understanding test results.
* Mentoring junior engineers
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate needs to have ideally 18th edition and testing and inspection. However 17th edition would be accepted as training would be provided to upgrade the qualification. Experience in data would be beneficial.
