Excellent opportunity with lots of room for growth for a talented Business Administration focussed candidate to join a well-funded fast-growing tech company. The role will span finance, office management and HR / people. With a salary ranging from £25,000 - £35,000 for a 4-day week and scope to work remotely this could just be your dream role.

What you will do 

You will work alongside the CEO on important administrative tasks and be expected to manage critical workstreams independently. You will be expected to work across a range of areas including marketing, HR, finance and office admin

Finance:

+ Bookkeeping on QuickBooks software
+ Working with the Company’s accountants as required
+ Recording office expenditure and managing the budget
+ Payroll management and payments - paying team and suppliers
+ Processing sales invoices, expense receipts and payments
+ Managing client bills and payments and pension payments
+ Liaising with customers over the payment of their invoices
+ Completing VAT returns
+ Managing statutory filing requirements 
+ Fulfil necessary auditing requirements for HMRC (R&D Year Ends)
+ Production of management accounts
+ Assisting the CEO/Founder in creation of investment presentations and packs and investor outreach and communications

Office Management:

+ Managing filing system for documents (mainly online)
+ Managing and ensuring filing requirements with Companies House
+ Posting letter and documents when needed
+ Organising the office and obtaining stationary/equipment supplies
+ Support preparation of board packs and shareholder reports
+ CapTable management and supporting the CEO with shareholder management
+ Keeping our information on Companies House up to date
+ Completing agreements for third parties contracting with the company
+ Managing our office, finding new premises if needed
+ Manage legal documents and contracts
+ Support the CEO with calendar management, minute taking, travel booking and other business and personal admin
+ Book meeting rooms

HR/Team/Culture/Hiring:

+ Responsible for company social events 
+ Organise team birthday cards and cake
+ Sending communications and newsletters to the company 
+ Overseeing the recruitment of new staff (providing offer letters and employment contracts)
+ Overseeing the onboarding, introduction and training of new staff 
+ Managing employee files and information, including absences and holiday period
+ Organising and chairing meetings with staff
+ Supporting HR processes
+ Generally giving team a platform to excel - being there to talk to them etc. needs 
+ Creating company policies and managing office and employee compliance to these policies

Who you will be:

+ Generalist leader who is analytical, strong in sales, a rapid learner and keen for responsibility
+ Comfortable and passionate about data analytics and machine learning - our product is complicated, and you’ll have to get comfortable with statistics and numbers if you are to really understand it and communicate it to clients
+ Amazing attention to detail - you will be trusted with legal and accounting activities that are very important
+ Entrepreneurial attitude & v. strong bias to action
+ Able to prioritise like a ninja - you should enjoy organisation and prioritisation to efficiently meet multiple, shifting work streams and deadlines 
+ Team player - humble and focused on helping the entire organisation succeed
+ Good communicator both internally to ensure a productive team environment and externally to various stakeholders on different channels for diverse materials and purposes

Software Skills / Mindset / You should have:

+ Desire to work in a start-up where things move fast, you get real responsibility and work closely with the team
+ Desire to use the latest online tools to do your job more efficiently
+ Very Comfortable with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
+ Comfortable with our accounting software QuickBooks
+ Desire to learn new things quickly
+ Interest in marketing industry, consumer insight, political campaigns
+ 2 years’ work experience 
+ A sociable people person who enjoys looking after people 
+ Strong writing/proof reading skills
