HR (OD) Officer

Salary: £26,288 per annum, rising to £27,672 per annum

Location: L11 2SF

Closing Date: Midnight Wednesday 27th March 2019, successful applicants must be able to attend an interview on 4th or 5th April 2019.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a HR Officer to join a small and friendly HR team, in a proactive and hands on role, where you will bring your HR knowledge and expertise to guide our colleagues, managers and senior leaders across the breadth of HR disciplines, with particular focus on Learning and Organisational Development.

It’s a great time to join Cobalt! A ‘de-merger’ from our parent company back in 2017 allowed the establishment of an in-house HR function and has enabled us to truly take a local focus in providing a great place to work, where highly talented, happy and healthy people go the extra mile for our customers, colleagues and communities.

The Role

We are looking for a best-practice focussed, approachable HR professional, who will relish the opportunity to lead training delivery of L&D programmes, manage a full cycle training programme which supports statutory compliance and who will act as a point of contact for Cobalt’s managers and staff requiring advice and support on L&D and on the operation and management to our HR learning system (Skillsgate).

The HR Officer should have experience in L&D / OD (including facilitation, creating, managing and delivering training, learning and performance support using a wide range of methods), and must be proficient in using HR systems including e-learning software, in order to build engaging e-learning content. At Cobalt, it’s really important that we continually engage with our customers, so the ability to quickly build relationships with colleagues at all levels and communicate effectively is essential, and we are really looking for a team player to hit the ground running within our HR Team. You should possess a recognised qualification e.g. Level 3 in L&D, Level 4 Diploma in L&D, D32/33/34 or A1 TAQA, DipEd, CertEd, DipTM or equivalent experience.

Additional Information

Cobalt’s standard working week is 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday, however we are flexible on the hours that this post can operate on and will consider reduced or compressed working patterns. The Role for HR (OD) Officer is £26,288 per annum, rising to £27,672 per annum upon successful completion of 6 months’ probation. The successful candidate will enjoy 23 days holiday, plus 3 additional days for Christmas shut down, as well as the option to join the company pension scheme.
