Relief Night Watchperson

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Aberdeenshire Council's main commercial harbour, Macduff Harbour.

We are currently recruiting for two relief Nightwatch People to work as part of the existing harbour team to ensure the safety and security of harbour and vessels out with normal working hours. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated person with a maritime background.

Macduff harbour is a commercial fishing port on the Moray Firth cost of Scotland. The harbour offers many facilities to mariners such as fish landing services, catch refrigeration, slipway and ship repairs to name a few.

The harbour is currently in the midst of a regeneration process and is implementing many new facilities to ensure the port remains at the forefront of a dynamic fishing industry.

This is a relief position as and when required

This position is designated as a \"fixed\" post as detailed on the Worksmart website -

It is a material condition of employment for this post that the employee holds a current full driving licence and has a car available, whenever required, in order to undertake the full range of duties of the post. As such, the post is designated as an authorised car user and will be entitled to receive mileage payments.

The employee will also be required to produced their licence, on request, at periodic intervals. Should the employee's driving licence be withdrawn, for whatever reason, it may be necessary to terminate the employee's appointment.

This post has a minimum requirement of 1 reference which must be your current or most recent employer.
