Healthcare Assistant - Harper ward (Female ward) Dementia & Huntington\'s Disease IPU
Based: Northampton
From GBP16,485 plus enhancements
Full time fully flexible - 37.5 hours per week

Harper is a 11 bed unit for females with a diagnosis of dementia, Huntington's disease and other neurological conditions. Harper ward offers person centred, holistic care with support from a multi-disciplinary team including doctors, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, dieticians, Speech and language therapist. Patients require support with personal care, accessing fresh air, feeding and engaging in therapeutic activities.

Harper ward will be moving to a brand new dementia hub located within St Andrew's grounds (approx. Nov 19) where our ladies will be nursed in a state of the art building with superb services and amenities.

Your role with us
Healthcare Assistants work in all areas of our Clinical Services, supporting staff teams in delivering and focusing on our Patients and their rehabilitation, enabling activities of daily living and hands on care. The role can be very active and we therefore require you to be able to cope with the demands of this dynamic post.

Your profile
Applications are welcomed from well-motivated individuals who are flexible, able to demonstrate high standards of care and who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills alongside good IT literacy. You will need to have resilience to work in a secure healthcare setting and this will help you meet the challenges and expectations of working as a Healthcare Assistant.
