JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM!
Hertfordshire Equipment Service (HES) provides health and social care equipment to disabled and vulnerable service users and patients across Hertfordshire. From bath boards to hospital beds and grab rails to gantry hoists the equipment HES provides enables Hertfordshire residents to remain living independently in their own homes, or supports them and their carers by providing equipment which enables them to be discharged from hospital.
Our service is growing to meet demand for increased operational hours, with the future potential for weekend working, and we are looking for experienced Service & Maintenance technicians to join our busy team, Maintaining, Servicing and Repairing a wide range of medical equipment in readiness for installation with service users throughout Hertfordshire. You will be a motivated individual with a mechanical and/or servicing background, a logical approach to problem solving, a caring work ethic and the drive and desire to play a key role in maintaining excellence in an increasingly busy service.
We're looking for people who can work flexibly and as part of a team to support a 7 day a week service. A full driving licence is required for this role and training will be provided, so experience of installing specialist equipment is not necessary, although you will need to demonstrate your ability to install wall-fixed items such as rails to the required standard. Good customer service skills and empathy for vulnerable service users are also required.
In return, we offer the opportunity to work as part of a growing team with annual leave starting at 24 days per annum and a range of other benefits such as access to the LGPS and our Herts Rewards scheme.
As part of the application you will be required to complete a full supporting statement detailing your suitability based on the requirements of the role detailed on the attached job outline. If you do not complete a full supporting statement your application will not be considered.
