Teacher of Creative Digital Media Production (BTEC)

Temporary to cover maternity leave - June 2019 to 31st August 2020

0.867 FTE to 1.0 FTE

£23,396-£38,748 pro-rata (Starting salary dependent on experience) 

We are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Media Studies with proven success of teaching on Level 3 programmes and the ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their potential and exceed expectations. You will be expected to demonstrate your commitment to excellence and inclusion at all times, ensuring that the experience of students is the best it can be.

You will be responsible for delivering the level 3 BTEC Extended Certificate in Creative Digital Media Production course to students by providing excellent learning opportunities and effective and enthusiastic teaching. We are looking for someone who has high level creative and production skills to deliver both the theory and practical elements of the course. We deliver units 1, 4, 8 and 10 over two years. As the sole teacher delivering lessons in this subject, you will be responsible for producing high quality teaching resources and be involved in curriculum planning and development, supporting the Course Leader and Head of Faculty in ensuring continuous quality improvement within the subject.

With a full teaching qualification and expertise in this curriculum area, you will have a passion for the subject and a commitment to high standards to secure high quality outcomes for all students. You will also be committed to teamwork and sharing of good practice.
