JOB TITLE: Host / Catering Assistant / Kitchen Assistant
SALARY & BENEFITS: GBP7.38 per hour plus benefits
WORKING HOURS: Part Time 28 hours per week (4 x 7hr shifts 8am-3pm) - may include occasional weekends as well as weekdays

Our client are a family owned business with 25 years experience in caring for the elderly who offer two beautiful care homes, with luxurious accommodation and first class care facilities to ensure that their residents are well looked after during their retirement years.
A vacancy has arisen for a Part Time Host / Catering Assistant / Kitchen Assistant to join our clients existing friendly team. You will work alongside carers and kitchen staff and will provide support to the care team and residents in a range of areas. The successful candidate will need to be flexible with a welcoming manner. Development training is offered with this post as well as a healthcare package
Our client invest in training for staff to support a quality of care in which all can feel proud. As well as offering exceptional support to it's residents, our client have been reaccredited twice with the Investors in People standard in recognition of our commitment to the development of all our staff.
Key Duties for the Host / Catering Assistant / Kitchen Assistant's role in Bognor Regis, West Sussex :-
- Prepare dining room and eating areas for residents
- Serving meals to residents
- Assisting residents with meal choices, serving beverages and identifying any specific requirements
- Clearing and tidying of dining areas after meal times
THE CANDIDATE: This is a great opportunity for a School or College leaver looking for part time work or to start a career in the Healthcare industry, or would also suit someone looking for a Part role in a friendly relaxed setting. The successful Host / Catering Assistant / Kitchen Assistant will live within commutable distance to Bognor Regis. Although not essential any previous experience working within a care home or care home kitchen setting would be an advantage.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Host / Catering Assistant / Kitchen Assistant role :-
- Must live in or be within commutable distance to Bognor Regis, West Sussex
- Must be polite and friendly with welcoming manner
- Excellent communications skills are essential
- Must be able to take a flexible approach to the role and work occasional weekends
- Although not essential, previous experience working in a care home kitchen setting would be desirable
