Salary range GBP19,500 - GBP25,000 depending on experience

Our client is seeking a Fashion Designer to head up our new Fashion Design department. You will have excellent design portfolio showing men and women's fashion. You will be working on movie and comicbook licenses; your role will be split between design/tech pack work, managing designs from concept to sampling and allocating/collaborating with design resources

You will be the only internal member of the Fashion Design team and will be working alongside a team of remote, flexible freelancers.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• An excellent design portfolio showing men and women's fashion
• An excellent tech pack portfolio
• Minimum 3 years experience in the fashion industry

• Be creative and innovativeHave excellent design skills
• Be able to produce quality designs for men and women consistently
• Be able to produce tech packs from scratch to an in-house style
• Have effective supervisory and organisational skills
• Be flexible and dependableBe able to communicate well in written and oral forms
• Have excellent Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator skills

Key activities will include:

• Come up with new design concepts and ideas
• Write design briefs and curate mood boards
• Create your own designs
• Liaise with factories about design and sampling issues
• Manage a team of flexible freelance designers
• Collaborate with freelance designers to create the best possible results
• Maintain a sample library
• Submit concepts and samples for approvals
• Other administrative duties
