Experienced Automotive Service Manager required to join leading West-country employer.

Managing a small team, we are looking for a commercially astute, automotive Service Manager to lead by example and drive growth.

Ultimately having responsibility for the profitability of the Service Dept, this is a busy and varied role and we are looking for a competent, enthusiastic individual who can lead from the front, due to the size of the team, you will be expected to take an active hands on role yourself with the some of the service admin workload.

You will be monitoring and maximising the profitability of the Service Department performance relative to labour sales and expense control. Monitoring performance indicators in key areas such as quality, customer satisfaction, warranty submission times and WIP.

Recruiting, retaining and developing the best talent is fundamental, therefore previous staff management is preferred. Through company policies and procedures you will be expected to deal effectively and promptly with all staff issues relating to performance, absentism and any circumstance relating to potential investigation and disciplinary action.

You will be expected to meet customers on a regular basis, not only to understand their needs but to take a proactive approach to driving customer satisfaction and constantly improving the customers experience. Key to this will be ensuring the smooth running of the service process between workshop and service team.

You will be managing H&S, taking the lead in sharing best practices and implementing common and consistent processes throughout the Service Dept.
