Our local authority client based in Greenwich London are urgently seeking an experienced Community Safety Analyst.

Purpose of the job

Work with other Council departments and partner agencies to collect and co-ordinate data to support Safer Greenwich Partnership priorities, in accordance with an agreed Information Sharing Protocol, and in compliance with data protection regulations.

Set up effective systems for collection and dissemination of a wide range of Community Safety related intelligence, information and data.

Use research and analysis in order to support and give direction to project planning, problem solving and performance management. Attend multi agency and operational meetings to present and discuss data, and analysis requirements, or to present evaluated findings, implications and recommendations.

Build knowledge and expertise as a resource for the team in key areas of Community Safety and utilise this expertise in the production of analytical products.

Person Specification

* Successful clearance at Level 2 of the national NonPolice Personnel Vetting procedure and a DBS check, to be carried out on appointment. Eligibility for the Non-Police Personnel Vetting scheme requires 3 years continuous residence in the UK immediately prior to application for clearance.

* Experience and understanding of using and interrogating multiple datasets for analysis and performance monitoring.

* Demonstrable understanding of the issue of equal opportunities in relation to community safety and a strong commitment to the council's policy on valuing diversity and equality of opportunity.

* Knowledge of the legal framework in which different datasets must be managed.
