An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Food Safety professional to join a friendly team in one of the largest and most well-established distribution companies in the UK.
THE CLIENT
A constantly expanding Food Supplier and Distributor who prides themselves on providing a wide range of high-quality products to a variety of retail clientele from across the UK.
THE ROLE
??Taking charge of H&S and Food Safety matters across the business, supporting and assisting all colleagues when required.
??Recording, reporting on and analysing statistical data for managers across all divisions of the business.
??Highlighting any areas of concern in the data and implementing action plans when appropriate.
??Ensure all staff are kept up to date on H&S matters, providing guidance and understanding in all areas including COSHH, Food Standards, Food Hygiene and Manual Handling.
??Managing company policies and keeping up with developments.
??Ensuring appropriate risk assessments are conducted, providing support and guidance to managers and heads of departments.
??Conducting H&S audits across all divisions to ensure legal and company system compliance.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We're looking for a candidate that shows enthusiasm, initiative and excellent communication skills. However, the following basic skills would be an advantage -
??Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
??Self-starting individual who is trustworthy regarding task completion.
??Ability to communicate effectively with external teams.
??Excellent communication skills and an ability to form friendly and professional relationships.
??An ability to work efficiently and enthusiastically both as part of a team and individually.
??Adept telephone manner.
??Excellent time management skills.
??Proficient IT skills and good administrative ability.
