Your New Role

Etex Building Performance currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Control Laboratory Analyst to join our hardworking and dedicated team based near Portishead. This permanent, full time position is ideal for an individual looking to work within a technical environment.

Working as a Quality Control Laboratory Analyst you will carry out laboratory analysis in accordance with site and quality management systems. This includes gypsum (natural and synthetic), stucco, raw materials (including paper) and finished products to ensure compliance with the quality specification. You will also;

  • Provide support to other quality testing activities, e.g. test equipment calibrations, repairs and replacements.
  • Analyse the data generated to look for, highlight and investigate trends and anomalies and to impound affected and non-compliant products as per procedures.
  • Ensure all documentation produced complies with company standards.
  • Ensure that documentation maintained within the document management system are reviewed, updated and approved at all times.
  • Using continuous improvement principles, actively seek to improve the methods, processes and techniques used within the laboratory.

You

At Etex BP we’re looking for dedicated, communicative and innovative people to join our team, for this position you will also require;

  • A-level or HND education
  • Experience of quality control environment
  • Understanding of quality management principles
  • A scientific background is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of manufacturing environment is desirable
  • Flexible approach to working hours when needed
