Bridge College in Openshaw, Manchester, is a non-residential specialist further education college. We meet the needs of students up to the age of 25 years with learning and physical disabilities, complex needs, communication disorders and autism.

We are now looking for a college finance and business manager to join the supportive team at Bridge College.

As our college finance and business manager...

You will work in partnership with a diverse range of teams to proactively contribute to delivering Bridge College’s vision to provide an inclusive and excellent service to students.

You will be expected to be one of the key points of contact in developing and managing highly productive relationships with the local community, schools, partner organisations and employers. You will also manage, direct, mentor, supervise and appraise staff to ensure the service and support provided for the students is excellent. You will manage a team to meet departmental targets and ensure that they are motivated, developed and produce high-quality work.

A snapshot of your responsibilities

• Advise, support, facilitate and implement the external and internal audit arrangements as required by financial regulations and other funding bodies
• To oversee the effective running of the administrative and ICT teams
• Prepare, review, monitor and report on monthly management accounts and financial returns as required byour governing body, local authorities and EFA
• Adhere to strict deadlines and monitor the funding to ensure that any funds received from successful bids are spent appropriately and within timescales

About you

You will be educated to degree level in a relevant field, have a business, management or finance qualification, you will also have experience in a similar role. You should possess knowledge of funding and commissioning process for students.
