Salary: Point 15, £22,911 

Contract: Maternity Cover

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (Includes participation on out of hours telephone on-call rota and occasional Saturday working)

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of supporting victims of domestic abuse.  As an Outreach IDVA you will be providing outreach, and community based support to high risk victims across South Gloucestershire.  You will be working closely with partner agencies to provide co-ordinated package of emotional and practical support, advice and advocacy to female or male survivors of domestic violence and their children.

The successful Candidate will:

  • be IDVA qualified
  • have substantial experience of working with survivors of sexual violence and/or domestic abuse
  • have experience of carrying out needs and risk assessments, co-producing safety plans with women and children experiencing domestic abuse
  • experience providing support to individuals to sustain/ manage their tenancies and avoid tenancy breakdown
  • the ability to provide respectful, non-judgemental, and confidential support to women and their children
  • a full driving licence and access to transport
