Accounts Assistant

DHM is part of the Aliaxis Group, a global manufacturer of plastic pipe systems for the building and utilities sectors; a successful organisation which employs over 16000 people worldwide.

Further to internal promotion we are now looking to recruit a motivated Accounts Assistant to be based at our Lenham office.

The role

The Accounts Assistant will work closely with the Senior Credit Controller in supporting the day to day credit control for DHM Finance. This will include managing multi-currency cashbooks, completing bank statement reconciliations and preparing all electronic and ad hoc payments for authorisation. The role will also involve managing the company credit card scheme.

Do you have what it takes?

This role requires a tenacious and thorough individual ideally with some experience gained within a similar accounts position. Working as part of a small team of 8 you'll need to be a team player with a willingness to learn and develop, who has:

• Strong MS Office/Excel skills
• Diligence and attention to detail, fast and accurate data entry skills
• The ability to communicate effectively with internal & external customers at all levels, and with your own team
• A willingness and ability to learn and develop finance skills
• The ability to effectively plan and prioritise workload

Ideally, you'll also have had some experience of a large ERP system, ours is MS Dynamix AX but we're open to experience of other systems.

Motivated by developing you're career in finance, if you haven't gained an accountancy qualification already we'd like someone interested in gaining a professional qualification in finance.
