Furniture Designer / Draughtsperson - 25-30k dep on exp

Our client is a market leader in the hotel furniture industry, working with clients such as Hilton, De Vere, Holiday Inn & Crowne Plaza. With a 45,000 sq ft factory just 10 minutes from Leeds City Centre, they make high specification, bespoke hotel furniture. Their ethos is to provide a fun, informal, but highly professional working environment.?

Job Purpose

The role will be twofold:

1. Work with our client's customers and project managers to interpret their briefs and produce accurate manufacturing drawings for our factory to manufacture.
2. Coordinate the ideas of our designers, sales team and project managers and along with your own ideas and research, develop new ranges of contract furniture for the hotel market.

Ideally you will possess strong design skills and communication skills, enabling you to translate any brief you are given into a market-leading product. Although not essential, it would be preferred if you have experience of working within the contract furniture industry in a design role. You will have a good eye for detail and be able to communicate at all levels. You will need to possess competent CAD skills and be able to work well under your own initiative as well as being a keen team player.
