PwC Research is based across 3 sites Belfast, Leeds and London. We are a full service market research agency within the largest professional services firm in the world, and so this creates a unique positioning in the market.

We bring connected insight to our clients using a variety of data sources, both primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary & through our business understanding. Put simply, we help our clients to better understand their customers, employees and stakeholders.

We work with a wide range of clients including the PwC firm across the world, major high street banks and retailers, media and technology companies, leading energy providers and a range of large scale public sector bodies and regulators.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a number of Senior Associates to join our team in Leeds, London or Belfast. For comparison to traditional Market Research Agencies we are looking for experienced Senior Research Executives through to Associate Director level. We are looking for individuals who have worked within a research environment, ideally with some experience within a market research agency.

We are looking for candidates with qual or quant expertise and welcome applications from single or dual practitioners.

The roles can be based in Leeds, London or Belfast and from time to time there may be an opportunity to travel both within the UK and internationally.

Key Skills
  • Strong qualitative or quantitative research design, analysis and reporting skills

  • Ability to synthesis findings, extract compelling stories / insights and adapt communications dependent on audience

  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with ability to present ideas / solutions clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Experienced in writing winning proposals and delivering pitches to clients

  • Competent project manager for small to medium sized projects, including briefing of teams, management of logistics, liaising with the client and monitoring commercials

  • If qualitative - ability to moderate groups and depths with a range of audience including vulnerable consumers to senior B2B professionals, strong analysis skills and impactful delivery of findings

  • If quantitative - strong survey design, exceptional analytical skills and impactful delivery of results

  • Ability to manage volume workload/projects and work independently within a fast paced environment

    Core activities will include

  • Project management including managing colleagues within the team and having day to day client contact

  • Involvement in all stages of the research project lifecycle including proposal preparation and costings, pitching, research design, fieldwork, analysis, reporting and client presentations

  • Contribution towards business growth through business development activity

  • Mentoring more junior team members

    The specific technical skills we are looking for include

  • Professional experience within the market research industry

  • Significant experience of all stages of qualitative or quantitative research projects

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Good project management skills;

  • Good written and oral communication skills;

  • Proven ability to produce quality work under pressure and to tight deadlines;

  • Effective prioritisation of tasks and personal time management

  • Experience of working as part of a successful team

  • Desirable skills sought for the role
