Legal Assistant - Commercial Property

Our client, a successful and longstanding legal firm are looking for a self-motivated, committed and organised Legal Assistant to join their busy commercial property department.
We are looking to speak to candidates who have knowledge and experience of supporting fee earners dealing with all aspects of commercial property work including leases, business transfers and sales & purchases of leasehold & freehold properties, including knowledge of all relevant forms, documents, procedures and software. This role will also involve some responsibilities within the Civil Litigation team, so any knowledge within this area would be of great benefit.
You will enjoy working as part of a small, hardworking team, and always go above and beyond to ensure clients requirements are dealt with quickly and professionally. You will be working with a wide range of commercial clients, so strong verbal and written communication skills are imperative.
Duties will include;
• Typing of letters and documents
• Opening and closing files for Fee Earners
• Managing client files so expectations are met
• Audio typing of a variety of documentation
• Dealing with clients over the phone to provide them with updates or to answer any queries
• Use of Microsoft Excel to ensure database is up to date
• Updating case management system and other administrative tasks
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, ideally full time but our client can considered part time for the right person. There is free parking close to the office and you will benefit from 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, with other benefits once you have completed probation.
