CAFE SUPERVISOR
WOOLWICH, LONDON, SE18
GBP20,628 PER ANNUM (increase due in April 2019)
37.5 HOURS PER WEEK
Ivy Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Cafe Supervisor in Woolwich.
Our client is at the heart of their work in the local community and mental wellbeing is a vital resource for individuals and communities in order to realise a full range of health, social and economic benefits for the local population. It is associated with a range of important outcomes including improved resilience and ability to copy with adversity, reduced levels of mental disorder, reduced mortality, better physical health, reduced crime and better social relationships. This is a caf?? which will become a social enterprise business and which will support a Recovery College and which will have some input by volunteers of the Recovery College and people seeking back to work experience.
The role will require you to assist the Cafe Manager on a day to day basis, support with the training of volunteers who may have mental health issues or individuals looking to get back into employment in customer service, food and drink preparation, washing up, keeping the kitchen and cafe clean.
You will carry out daily management of the cashing up process, carry out Barista duties, co-ordination of the volunteer rota, ordering supplies, manage stock and wastage, food handling, and health and safety.
Hours of the role require someone to be flexible and not always work fixed hours, you will also be required to cover weekends on a rota basis. You will have a 30 minute lunch break taken at a time that is agreed with the line manager to fit the needs of the Cafe.
Suitable applicants will have some experience in a similar role and had supervisory responsibilities.
