Regional Marketing and Communications Manager - Palliative
GBP35,000 pa plus Competitive employee benefits
Home-based - with travel to the following Hospices:-

- Sue Ryder Manorlands, Keighley, Oxenhope

Do you have experience in using PR and social media to generate support for a large organisation or charity? If so this is an excellent opportunity to accelerate your PR career and help to develop and deliver the local communication strategies for our hospices.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior PR Manager you will be responsible for increasing the public profile of the four Sue Ryder hospices within your remit. You will line manage a Regional Marketing and Communications Officer and work collaboratively with Sue Ryder's wider Marketing and Communications team ensuring a joined up approach at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
• Devise and manage the delivery of a communications strategy for each of the hospices to increase brand awareness in their local communities and support fundraising, healthcare, recruitment and volunteering objectives.
• Manage the day to day running of the press office across the localities, including responding out of hours where necessary.
• Lead on reputation management issues for each of the hospices with the support of the Senior PR Manager.
• Oversee local social media channels, web pages, internal newsletters and day to day media releases.
• Work closely with colleagues across Sue Ryder to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with both internal and external contacts, and lead on building good working relationships with the local media and liaising closely with the national PR team to share and amplify stories where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the Directors and Senior Management teams at each of the hospices ensuring their needs and objectives are supported.
About you
We are looking for an experienced PR professional with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in securing media coverage and increasing social media engagement. Knowledge of working with local authorities, healthcare commissioners or CCG's is desirable.
