Our client is a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy operating throughout the UK. They are now looking to recruit an Ecologist for thier West Midlands office.
The role would require you to survey and report on a wide range of developments such as wind farms, large scale regeneration and building conversion projects, various industrial and commercial developments, pipeline and overhead power distribution schemes.
Key duties of the position are data gathering, surveying and interpretation of results, consideration of mitigation and enhancement and effective reporting.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
-A BSc in Ecology or related subject. An MSc is desirable but not essential
-Around two years experience in survey or field research
-The ability to carry out Phase 1 habitat and protected species surveys
-At least one protected species licence, great crested newt is preferred
-Experience in developing and implementing mitigation strategies is desirable
-The ability to communicate well in a team, as well as being able to work alone
-A valid UK driving licence
-Ideally you will be a member of the IEEM
