Science Teacher

(With a Difference!)

  • Are you excited by the prospect of teaching in an organisation that leads the way in innovative methods in an online environment?
  • Do you want to decrease the amount of time you spend on admin in order to be free to create imaginative and motivating lessons to engage students?
  • Would flexible working arrangements suit you so that after successful completion of a probation period you could work from home some days?

Red Balloon of the Air is an award-winning charity that operates a leading-edge virtual learner centre. We offer academic, wellbeing and community support to transform the lives of students (aged 9-18 years) who want to learn but have had low rates of attendance at school due to high anxiety, severe bullying, trauma or chronic stress. Our programme comprises online and face-to-face support to build confidence and reconnect students with learning and their education. Students are typically referred to us by their school, mental health services or local authority.

We are looking for an experienced / qualified teacher who is creative, organised, flexible, empathetic, reliable and computer literate to join us as soon as possible. We have a full time post (part-time considered) based in Cambridge with a pay range up to £24,000 depending on experience.
