My client a leading electrical distributors in Crawley near Gatwick have an immediate vacancy for an experienced multi drop van driver.
Job Role
Reporting to the Branch Manager you will be responsible for collecting goods from branch and making customer deliveries across London and more locally on a rotational basis approximately 5-10 drops. One week you may be delivering in North London, the second South London and third locally this ensures that all drivers are knowledgeable of each others routes and that you are not predominantly working in Central London. The successful driver will ensure that all products are available and delivered efficiently and that all relevant paperwork accompanies all delivery transactions.
The vehicles are less than 3 years old, long wheel based vans with a manual gear box. You must keep your vehicle maintained as required, ensuring traffic violations and parking offences are reported to management. At all times drivers must adopt an 'up beat', positive attitude and to act in a courteous and professional manner in dealings with customers, suppliers and other staff. You may be required to work within the warehouse occasionally.
Experience
Knowledge of delivering in and around London & the Home Counties is essential.
Full driving licence (max 6pts)
Commercial driving experience of long wheel base vans
Team player who will be cooperative and support the branch.
Renumeration & Benefits
Monday to Friday 07:00am - 5:00pm
A competitive salary GBP21- 22,000 dependent upon experience
31 days holiday / Xmas Shutdown
