Due to continuing growth and success, our client is seeking to appoint a CAD Technician. The successful applicant will work on sheet metal parametric design and production using solid edge and offline programming techniques for punch presses and press brakes.

Core duties in this role will also include:
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering materials using an ERP system.
- Use of Solid Edge for the design of parametric sheet metal components and assemblies
- Proactively implement 3S and Lean into your daily work.
- In addition to this you will also be required to perform general office duties such as answering phones/email and dealing with customer orders that are received
Essential criteria for a successful applicant include:
- Working knowledge of Excel for technical calculations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to participate with the shop floor team (including hands on work) when attempting to achieve team targets and budgets
- Self-motivated with an innate burning desire to succeed
Desirable criteria:
Programming of punch presses using Lantek or similar 2D CNC sheet metal software for part nesting
Programming press brakes using offline software
Basic lean manufacturing knowledge
