Housekeeper
We are recruiting for a number of Facilities Housekeepers to work for our client, the NHS based in Llandough and surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is genuinely caring, understanding and who would like to pursue a career within the NHS or similar setting.
You will be based within a clinical setting which will be patient facing. You will be liaising with patients, families, colleagues and visitors and other users.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Cleaning and maintaining cleanliness of all areas, to include kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and bedrooms.
* Use of electrical and manual equipment
* Completion of relevant paperwork related to stock and supplies, unpacking of deliveries and storing the supplies within the relevant areas
* To make the nursing staff aware of any dissatisfaction or aspects of concern from patients in respect of the service.
* To report any damaged equipment and / or maintenance issues
* To undertake any ad hoc duties as and when required
Essential requirements:
* Experience of housekeeping within a care / health care setting
* Awareness of COSHH, Health and Safety, infection control and Management of Waste Regulations
* You will be motivated and conscientious who has a flexible approach to work
* The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
* Understanding the importance of confidentiality, privacy and dignity at all time
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Physically fit as the role includes manual handling
The vacancies are temporary, part time postions, you will work any 5 days out of the 7 week days between the hours of 7.00 am and 8.00 pm.
The role offers an hourly rate of GBP7.83 per hour (Monday to Friday), GBP11.67 per hour for Saturdays and GBP15.43 per hour for Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Successful candidates will be working for a large public sector organisation, which requires a high level of clearance checks. This will include a Criminal Record check (DBS), reference checks (for the last 3 years), and a character reference to cover a period of unemployment.
Please be advised that if successful, you will be required to come to our office, based in Bridgend to register and commence the compliance process
