A Works/Operations Manager is required to join a production site based in Mid-Kent.
Reporting into the Group GM, the incoming candidate will hold overall site responsibility for the facility - ensuring the operation runs smoothly, efficiently, within budget, and to profit.
Key accountabilities will include:
* The scheduling of works production, agreeing dates with the Transport Manager and requirements with the Stock Controller, maintaining agreed stock levels, and ensuring goods available on time in a good presentable manner to meet customer delivery requirements;
* Allocation of work to the Supervisors;
* Ensure loads for next day deliveries have been picked and presented on a daily basis;
* Management of all Warehousing and Operational staff and the Stock Controller including record keeping for holidays, sickness and overtime cost control;
* Management of staff training, identifying on-going training needs and ensuring records are in place and up to date, with particular attention to health & safety;
* Continually review health & safety procedures in line with operational activities, actively encouraging safety improvements from workforce, and implementation of such.
In order to be considered, you will have a proven track record of running end to end operations, ideally within a production environment.
The successful candidate will be a strong, assertive leader who will be able to review process and implement change. You'll be able to instil the team with confidence to perform to the best of their ability.
