Systems Engineer - permanent - Corsham - Up to GBP65000 + benefits
My client provides technology innovation and consultancy to a variety of military users. They are now seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support Their growing team of specialists within Future Deployed Tactical Communications and Information Systems (CIS).
As Systems Engineer you will have the opportunity to help deliver a broad range of complex and challenging technical programmes within a dynamic and rewarding environment. You will work closely alongside defence clients to ensure that innovative and effective solutions are developed for the UK armed forces.
As a key participant in the design and delivery of a variety of strategic programmes and business critical initiatives, you will be part of large-scale engagements where change and evolution of services contribute to this fascinating, and demanding environment.
Security
Due to the nature of this position, we require you to either hold or be eligible to achieve SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
Essential Skills:
-Knowledge and understanding of Land environment Tactical Communications and Information Systems.
-Ability to provide support to the planning and execution of Network and Radio evaluation trials activities
-Experience in the provision of technical support for the execution of system trials by observing trials activities and providing direction where required
-Good understanding of the BCIP 5.6 programme
-Experience in formal technical review of written technical reports
-Experience working as a technical SME through witnessing, reporting and providing governance to systems integration and verification activities for a Communication and Information System project
-Minimum of 5-10 years' experience working upon applications-based delivery or research programmes within the defence industry
-degree qualified (2.1 or above) in a related subject or have the equivalent in relevant engineering, scientific or technical-based discipline.
