Get Recruited are proud to be recruiting on behalf of an established property company based in Potters Bar who, due to expansion, are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Working in a fast paced environment you will be a key part of the team, working closely with the Finance team. You will be the point of contact for any invoicing queries, whilst looking after bank reconciliation and sales ledger.
A dynamic role, the successful Acccounts Assistant will need to be able to multi task, whilst having a high attention to detail and the confident to chase late payments. This role would suit an individual who is looking to progress their career, whilst enjoying a supportive working environment.
THE ROLE:
* The Accounts Assistant will respond to customer telephone enquiries, ensuring an excellent level of customer service and support is provided
* Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email and letters within agreed timescales
* Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity
* Identify changes in payment patterns and propose actions to avoid late payments
* Overseeing the sales ledger
* Responding to client and internal enquiries in a swift manner, thinking on your feet
* Issues invoices to customers
* Sending out quarterly service charges
* Carry out ad hoc duties as required
THE PERSON:
* At least 2 years experience in an Accounts Assistant role
* The confidence to chase overdue invoices
* Excellent communication skills
* The ability to work within a team
* Excellent IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
