Solicitor
We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor to join a public sector organisation for a 6-9 month period.
This role is full time, paying GBP21.01 per hour for 36.25hrs per week.
This role will be an in-house Solicitor advising primarily on commercial contracts and public procurement where corporate legal experience would be an advantage.
Duties:
* Providing in-house legal advice on commercial legal matters
* Drafting contracts
* Negotiating contracts
* Providing advice on IP law, particularly in relation to maintaining and protecting IPR
* Providing support and advice to the legal services team as required
* Corporate legal advice depending on experience
Skills and Experience:
* Qualified solicitor with current practising certificate / qualified Barrister with Bar registration
* Experience of advising in the Higher Education Sector (desirable)
* Expertise in commercial and IP law
* Significant experience of negotiating/drafting/advising on commercial contracts
* Highly professional and responsive client service and management
* Ability to effectively communicate complex legal information to colleagues at all levels
* self motivated and able to work independently and as a supportive member of a team
