Manufacturing Team Leader
A Manufacturing Team Leader with Test Engineering experience is required to work on a permanent role with my defence client based in Bedfordshire.
Overview of the Manufacturing Team Leader Permanent
To manage the manufacturing resource of a build cell within a project IPT so that the programme/project specific delivery requirement are delivered on time, to Budget and to the required quality levels. DPU & UPC toolsets and Measures will be used to define improvement Programmes and enable the M&SC way methodologies to be applied in achieving Operational Excellence. Managing and developing staff in line with the People Management Framework.
* Implementation and effective management of KanBan, 5's, Visual Management, Lean, FOD Avoidance, ESD Protection
* Daily meetings, Gemba walks, CSIP
* Achieve the build & test cells contribution to the current account budgets (sales, profit and cash)
* Responsible for leading & managing all AIT Cell activities within the Integrated Programme Delivery Group IPT
* Responsible for yield improvement & non-value added process reduction
* Responsibility for process innovation & improvements using BOBj tools in conjunction with IEG
* Resource Management: including staff training & development plans that improves efficiency
* SAP
* MyTime, EMIT, SCOR / ARIS / BMS
* Framework
* Xmii manufacturing console
* DPU, UPC Burn Down Plans
* Schedule adherence in line with Bobj
* Assembly & Test Cycle Time, Reduction plans
* 5s plan achieved
Key skills required for the Manufacturing Team Leader
* Good Manufacturing or test/integration background
* Proven ability to motivate & support teams to deliver results
* Leadership experience Inc coaching and performance management
* Knowledge of Lean Principles & Knowledge of manufacturing environments
* good, overall, understanding of SAP, as well as good process awareness.
* Good understanding of Business requirements & M&SC
* SCOR processes.
* Understanding of the Performance Management & SHE
