JOB DESCRIPTION

Tero Marine is a well-established class leading provider of Fleet Management software solutions.

We currently have a position available for a Software Support Consultant to join our busy but friendly Operations and Delivery team.

Our company supplies fleet management solutions to the oil and gas, marine and shipping industry, we are one of the world's leading developers of marine information systems. Our product range includes systems for planned maintenance, procurement, dive certification, crew management and quality & environment.

The successful candidate would be responsible for handling support cases as and when they arise from our international base of customers. You will be directly responsible to the Operations Manager.


Key responsibilities:

  • Recording and handling cases in a very varied support environment
  • The ability able to plan own workload ensuring the needs of the customer are always put first
  • Some domestic and international travel will be required.
  • Taking incoming support from phone, email and a support suite.
  • Explain resolutions to issues from customers with varying level of technical expertise.
  • To deliver product training, workshops and sales support.
     

Desirable Criteria: 

  • Experience in a similar role
  • A good working knowledge of Remote Administration software such as TeamViewer / RDP.
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Operating Systems.
  • T-SQL experience would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes pressured environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good telephone manner and organisational skills
  • A stable employment background
  • A valid UK Driving license & passport.

JOB ROLE

The successful candidate would be responsible for handling incoming support cases via telephone or email and prioritising and recording the case as it develops.

Generally the role will be varied and will require domestic and international travel.
