Opportunity is around the corner as Pertemps are working in partnership with a well- established positive and friendly law firm based in the heart of Lincoln, recruiting for a Legal Cashier to join their team.
You will be responsible for the day to day financial activities of numerous branches based in Lincolnshire.
Working hours: Monday - Friday
Salary: GBP16,000 - GBP18,000 annually
Reporting To: Accounts Manager
As a Legal Cashier your responsibilities will be:
To undertake daily banking functions including bank reconciliations.
The processing of client and office accounting transactions including postings and cheque production.
The processing of client bills to include checking and posting
Input and production of nominal cheque requests.
Processing automatic and manual payment runs by BACS/TT and cheque.
The processing of bank transfers.
Assist in month end procedures.
VAT administration and returns.
Processing of travel and other expenses.
Anti Money Laundering checks as required.
Dealing with enquiries from fee earners and other staff members.
Dealing with enquiries and payments from clients.
The administration and reconciliation of petty cash.
Ad hoc Financial Reporting.
You will require the following skills:
Minimum of 3 years legal cashier experience
In depth knowledge of excel spreadsheets
IT user skills
Legal cashiering qualification (Desirable)
Knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts rules (Desirable)
Driving Licence
Interviews for this role are to take place immediately for the right calibre candidate/s.
