What will you be doing?
As part of the property services team the role of Multi Skilled Technician (Joiner) is to provide an effective and efficient service to deliver day-to-day repairs, voids, cyclical maintenance, planned works programmes and any other associated works.
First and second fix joinery to reactive / responsive repairs & maintenance, voids, cyclical maintenance and planned works programmes.
Whilst your core skill will be as a Joiner you will be required to carry out other repairs where required so utilising your general trade skills (tiling, plumbing, plastering etc).
As our properties are throughout West Yorkshire, you will need a full driving licence and be prepared to travel around the region as required.
What skills and experience will you need to be considered?
* Craft Apprentice or Time Served
* City & Guilds/NVQ3 Joinery
* Substantial experience of all types of joinery works including cupboards and shelving, doors and frames, locks and furniture, external and internal windows, repair works including fencing and gates
* Demonstrable experience of working in occupied properties
* Competent in Multi trade operations
* Working knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations
* An understanding of the principles of good customer care
* Good communication skills, both spoken and written
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 8am - 5.00pm
Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends and be on call.
