SkyBlue are currently recruiting a Locksmith / Carpenter on behalf of their client Gov Facility Services Ltd. This can be a challenging environment, however due to the high demand of work this could be a long term opportunity for the correct candidate.
Carpenter Key duties will include but won't be limited to:
* To work as part of a multi-skilled team providing an efficient estates service.
* To carry out a wide range of Building work tasks
* To work with fine tools and equipment in difficult areas.
* To carry out minor repair work e.g. minor building repairs with minimum of supervision
* To carry out all aspects of carpentry and joinery including dry wall lining erection, painting of various
* surfaces, fitting of specialist locks and door closures
* To work safely with heavy equipment and work at heights
Locksmith Key duties will include but won't be limited to:
* Carry out reactive repairs and installations of commercial doors
* Planned preventative maintenance of commercial doors
* Work in a safe manner and within Health & Safety Guidelines
* Work as part of a multi-skilled team providing an efficient estates service.
To be eligible for the vacancy we have at the moment you need to meet the following essential criteria:
Recognised qualification as a Locksmith (desirable)
* NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry
* Previous experience working on an FM contract.
To be able to work within the HM Prison Service, you must be able to pass the standard security vetting process. If you either hold a current DBS, previous CTC clearance or have worked in that environment before. We are looking to speak to you!
