Bridge College in Openshaw, Manchester, is a non-residential specialist further education college. We meet the needs of students up to the age of 25 years with learning and physical disabilities, complex needs, communication disorders and autism. We’re looking for a Facilities Assistant to join the team!

As our Facilities Assistant you will…

Support the site team with general security of the college premises and contents at all times. You will carry out and assist with various different repairs and maintenance work that is required, including responding to requests from managers this is a key requirement for the role. You will ensure all health, safety and other procedures are in place and followed correctly and be responsible for maintaining heating and ventilation levels. You will be required to order and take delivery of stock for the college and participate in development activities and team meetings with the wider team.

About You

You will be open, friendly and communicative with your colleagues and our students at the college. You will have good experience in carrying out DIY and maintenance and repair duties - which is a large part of the role - work well as part of a team and be able to take initiative. You will have good IT skills to be able to participate in tasks as and when required by the senior team.
