We are currently recruiting for Automotive Electrician's (Generator Repair) to work in either Mannheim or Dulmen, Germany. You will be working within a US Military base; no previous military experience is required however. You will be working on US military Generators from 5kw up to 60kw, inside a US military base.
This does mean you will need to relocate.
* Maintain and repair electrical power generators
* Troubleshoot electrical problems
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Be able to maintain generators from 5kW to 60kW
We are hoping this will be a long-term contract for you, made up of 6 month rolling contracts.
We expect to have this contract with our client for several years to come and these positions in Germany pay competitively weekly. Working weeks are 48 hours of work Monday to Friday. We can help you find accommodation if you need help and though you pay for it there is a Cost of Living Allowance of about GBP70 on top of your pay that will be paid to you each week that you are in Germany. Accommodation is typically shared apartments, but costs can vary depending on when you start and what is available at that time. We also contribute GBP200 towards your initial travel costs if you're travelling from outside of Germany. Finally, we offer a referral fee of GBP150 if we take on someone new who has been recommended by you and has referenced you in their initial email communication with us.
You are entitled to 24 days holiday plus German bank holidays so long as they fall on a working weekday.
As a mechanic, you will need your own tools (any specialist tools are provided on base) and they will need to be easily notifiable as your own. We have over 300 Brits on this contract in Mannheim and Dulmen and most of our personnel drive to Germany so that they have a way to get their tools over and a way to get to and from work each day - if you don't intend to drive, we would need to know asap as it might cause some problems that we need to address beforehand.
Is this of interest, if so please apply but if you have any questions in the meantime, please let me know
