Excellent career move for an ambitious Junior Sous/ Sous chef looking to join a well-known seaside establishment promoting it's stunning views across this fantastically located beach. Based on one of North Cornwall's most scenic beaches- a thriving, busy restaurant that is going from strength to strength.

We are looking for a Sous chef who is passionate about developing and improving their skills and building their career in the long-term. Helping support the Head chef in this busy kitchen as Sous chef your roles is vital to the development of the kitchen team and you will be able to lead as well as teach and help develop the team on going, so the incentive is there to help and develop the other team members and pass on your own knowledge.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the head chef in the daily running of a busy kitchen and running the kitchen in the Head chef’s absence

• Being a vital role in the daily of all food preparation

• Supporting junior members of the team

• Ensuring a safe environment for all

• Adhere to all Health and safety policies

• The daily service of all food

Key Skills:

• Evidence of previous Senior role in kitchen

• Able to lead, support and motivate a team

• Ability to work under pressure

• To be a team player demonstrating flexibility and development

• Flexible to working hours and changing shift patterns

• Team leadership

• A genuine passion for authentic food

• Enthusiasm

• Flexibility and willingness to embrace change
