About the team

The programs the Engineering team delivers are designed to engage and motivate students who are interested in learning about the various roles that are available in the Engineering industry and supporting learners to develop the knowledge and skills required. The programs provide a suitable foundation for progress to appropriate destinations, such as apprenticeships and employment.

About the role

The CNC Engineer will need to liaise with employers and be able to schedule and organise work to meet deadlines, carry out 'Just in time' manufacturing of ordered components & program and set and operate CNC machinery. There will also be an expectation that you will support learners in the development of their practical skills.

What we are looking for

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Engineering (CNC)
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths & English
  • Has industrial experience in the relevant area
  • Willingness to support learners in the development of their practical skills
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Awareness of 'Lean Manufacturing' and a willingness to undertake further training
  • Be able to understand and utilise digital technology
