Location: Malton, North Yorkshire

Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP27,000 depending on experience

Hours of Work: Full time - permanent 45 hours per week

About the Company:

Our clients company are a long established family business providing temperature controlled and bulk liquid transport services for the food industry. They are looking for an experienced Traffic Operator/Planner to join their team at their main office in Malton.

The successful candidate will work within the traffic planning team to ensure all deliveries and collections made within agreed KPI's and assist with traffic planning and vehicle management throughout the day.

Traffic Operator/Planner Responsibilities:

• Work with Planning team leader throughout day
• Coordinate route planning
• Take out of hours calls and cover weekend planning on a rota basis
• Deal with drivers and any related queries as required throughout day
• Speak to drivers on regular occasions throughout day
• Check all timed deliveries have been made
• Allocate and book collections throughout day
• Communicate effectively with customers and delivery sites
• Promote good practice in maintaining high levels of Customer Service
• You must comply with all health and safety rules and regulations regarding the health and safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your acts or omissions.
• Undertake such other duties that are required from time to time commensurate with this position.

Traffic Operator/Planner Requirements:

• Must have a confident / outgoing personality
• Able to work under pressure
• Able to "multi task"
• Able to work in fast paced changing environment
• Previous traffic office experience advantageous
• Must have good geographical knowledge
• Must have good attention to detail
• Must gave good Communication Skills
• Must have experience in Microsoft outlook and Excel
• Team Player
• Good IT Skills
• Good telephone manner
• Keen to develop and gain new skills/experience in food/temperature controlled transport
