We currently have an exciting opportunity for a laboratory based Quality Technician at our Middlesbrough site. The site handles bulk and packed chemicals and has packing & blending facilities. 
Working as part of the Laboratory team, you will be responsible for routine analysis, supporting the operations team on technical issues and statutory labelling, along with monitoring and investigating quality issues. You will also be responsible for helping maintain laboratory standards through GLP.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

+ Routine sampling & analysis of liquid products
+ Sampling & evaluation of incoming goods, to timescales
+ Calibration & setup of laboratory equipment
+ Carrying out customer specific testing requirements
+ Administration related to SAP, QC & the laboratory
+ Co-ordinating with production & operations
+ Preparing labelling for products (ADR & GHS)
+ Liaison with 3rd Party testing providers
+ Investigation of product issues & customer complaints
+ Preparing customer samples at short notice

The candidate will work in a works laboratory & chemical plant environment, following a pattern of early & late day shifts that cover hours between 07.30 & 18.30.

Candidates that hold a scientific qualification and have the capability to perform basic analytical chemistry techniques would be welcome.
