Location: Cardiff
Hours of work: 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday
Salary: cGBP25,000
Our clients business is evolving and growing and as such are looking to recruit two Logistics Planners on a full time permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
* National Route Planning for vehicles (UK and Ireland)
* Monitor OTIF Performance, understanding reasons for any challenges and resolve problems as required
* Communicating with Drivers and Customers
* Taking ownership of internal & external queries and always aiming for first time resolution
* Achieving targets while maintaining a focus on accuracy and quality of work
* Managing transportation costs and vehicle utilisation through scheduling of internal and external vehicles.
* Liaison and relationship management with internal and external transport providers
Experience, attributes & skills sought:
* Strong understanding of the Logistics function
* Customer focus with a positive attitude to challenges
* Strong verbal and written skills with a high attention to detail
* Knowledge and understanding of Driving Regulations
* Strong geographical and transport network knowledge
* Able to manage and prioritise changing workloads
