SENIOR HR ADVISOR - 12 MONTH FTC
Your new company
My client are one of the UK's most prestigious automotive manufacturers with a workforce of over 4,000. Following a number of internal promotions, they now have a requirement for a Senior HR Advisor to join on an initial 12 month FTC with the strong possibility of staying in post longer term.
Your new role
Act as a HR interface to internal operational functions, supporting day-to-day activities, the provision of professional advice, guidance and consultancy. Development and implementation of HR policies, which guide and support the organisation to achieve its objectives giving consideration to the legal, economic and social climate.
Responsible to the Head of HR/HR Manager, working closely with functional areas, the wider HR team, Finance, Payroll and external suppliers.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provision of professional advice, guidance and coaching, to relevant business area, taking into account internal and external best practice. Delivery of quality solutions, in line with business objectives.
* Support the development of line managers through 1 to 1 coaching, delivery of workshops and providing feedback and guidance regarding behaviours as appropriate
* Conduct disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearings in line with Company policy
* Conduct appeal hearings in line with Company policy
* Performance management
* Supporting all categories of International workers whilst on their overseas assignment
* Development and implementation of best practice HR policies which guide and support the organisation to achieve its objectives in line with the legal, economic and social climate.
* Ensure existing policies are kept up to date in line with current Employment Legislation
* Develop new policies as appropriate in response to business needs or changes in legislation
* Develop and implement training workshops for managers as guidance and support for changes to or new policies
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrable generalist HR experience within a fast-moving, pressurised environment.
* Ability to work on own initiative with excellent planning and organisational skills
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business
* Ability to solve problems and use creative thinking to reach appropriate solutions for stakeholders
* Previous experience of working within a unionised environment is preferable.
* Demonstrable experience of recruitment, employee relations, reward, talent management and development tools and techniques
* Experience in coaching/developing others
Practical & Technical Knowledge:
* IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP HR.
* Knowledge of customer area operations and responsibilities desired.
Qualifications
* Member of CIPD - Graduate CIPD.
What you'll get in return
The role pays between GBP33,000-GBP38,000 paid as an hourly rate on a weekly basis. An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
