Banqueting & Conference Porter, GBP18,000-GBP21,000pa DOE
A vibrant, busy business centre in Cambridge servicing up to 600 staff & delegates.
The Role
Working in a vibrant, busy business centre in Cambridge the Hospitality Porter will be responsible for ensuring that all function and event spaces are set as to company standards.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills as this is a hands on role and you will be meeting, greeting and serving guests, delegates and senior management.
Experience in hospitality is essential as you will be responsible for the service of food and drink to delegates during individual conferences.
Good time management skills and team work are essential as you may be responsible for multiple function spaces being ready at the same time.
Responsibilities
• Ensure all function spaces are set up and cleaned down to company standards and time scales .
• Servicing the sites multiple tea & coffee points and meeting rooms, attending to cleaning issues, events support, ordering consumables and maintaining stock levels.
• Identifying and reporting equipment faults, building maintenance and H&S issues.
Experience and Skills Required
• Experience in working in the hospitality industry, preferably in an events & functions capacity
• Ability to communicate with a variety of individuals
• Good IT skills - able to work with Outlook, Word and Excel
• Fantastic level of customer service
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Personal Characteristics
•A friendly and helpful approach with a professional attitude
•Responsible and trustworthy
•Good organisation skills and the ability to multitask
Salary and Benefits
•My client is offering the successful Facilities Assistant a salary of between GBP18,000-GBP21,000pa DOE
•Regular opportunities for paid overtime
•Fantastic working environment
•Working hours 11am-7pm or 12noon - 8pm Monday to Friday
